Discussing the Future of Photonics at the Photonics Partnership Annual Meeting Panel Session

May 14, 2024

On 14th and 15th May 2024, our coordinator NTUA participated in the Photonics Partnership Annual Meeting, organised in Brussels by Photonics21, the European Technology Platform that connects the main leading photonics industries and relevant R&D stakeholders.

There, Prof. Ioanna Zergioti had the chance to participate as a guest in the Panel discussion ‘Quo Vadis Photonics? The Industrial Strategy for Photonics in the EU and abroad’, where industry and academic experts discussed the most prominent photonics-related issues, including how the sector can contribute to policies such as the European Chips Act and technological sovereignty, international cooperation and partnerships to accelerate innovation, and strengthening the global competitiveness of the industry.

If you missed it, but are interested in learning what was said during the discussion, check out the report by Electro Optics, HERE.
